A diverse range of companies and industries are involved in this 2007 demonstration including wine, food processing, automotive. These businesses are located in both metropolitan and regional areas. The 2007 demonstration will concentrate on developing new skill sets in automated systems used in manufacturing and processing industries, in particular SCADA and MIS. The objective of the demonstration is to use innovative training methods, in this instance a virtual manufacturing and processing business along with a real mini factory, to respond to the demand for workers in these areas to have new skill sets and improved performance in automated systems and multiple work roles.
